This is my ninth pair of Merrells and I have NEVER been disappointed. This is a comfortable, light weight, and attractive shoe for everyday casual (sock free) wear. The barefoot series strikes again!

One of the MOST COMFORTABLE pairs of shoes I have ever owned!

I'm not one to write product reviews, but geez, I feel like I have to let Merrell know how great these shoes are so they don't stop making them. These are my second pair of Merrell barefoot shoes - the other ones being the trail gloves. I really like the trail gloves but for some reason these are even more comfortable. (Perhaps because the lacing's different?) Hands down the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I wear them to work, to church, to the park, everywhere. They are holding up very well despite the mileage I'm putting on them. For me there was no break-in period, but there might be a small adjustment period if you've never worn barefoot shoes before. I appreciate the fact that they look like a regular casual shoe and can be worn to places where I wouldn't wear my trail gloves. (My wife probably appreciates that too!) I've been wearing Merrells for years but these barefoot shoes have me sold. A great product - now I just hope they don't stop making them!

I have the Reach Glove in Leather, not canvas. This makes 8 pairs of Merrell shoes I currently own. Two pair of Road Gloves, One pair of trail gloves for hiking and this pair giving me five pair of Barefoot Merrell's. I have to say, I have been pushing the envelope on distance a little too soon and I am suffering some calf and Achilles issues. Take your time adjusting. But I can also tell you I did a 9.5 mile hike in some pretty rugged terrain. My feet were a touch sore on the bottom but the pain was gone completely by the next day. A couple sharp rocks on a downhill run can do that to you. The surprising part for me is the lack of knee and hip pain that had been plaguing me until I bought these shoes. They have 100% eliminated any pain at all. I am sold. I tell everyone I know how incredible these shoes are. They have also improved my posture. I used to walk with my shoulders hunched forward. The low heel has caused my back to straighten and I haven't been to the chiropractor since I started wearing them. Can you tell I love them.

Although I've owned other Merrells this was my first pair from the Barefoot Life line. They are extremely comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend them. It seems that they run a bit smaller than normal for their size, but not enough to be concerned with. Overall a great shoe.
