I bought these boots in about 1992. They are the most comfortable boots i've ever had. Perfect fit after being broken in (a long time ago) and easy to resole. I wanted new laces recently, in blue to regain the original look, and Merrell's customer service sent them to me! I took them on a weeklong backpacking trip in Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park last week and the boots performed flawlessly, once again.

Purchased current pair in 1995. Have resoled twice and repaired twice (sewing: tongue & inside lining). These boots have seen some brutal service and have never let me down (even with soles duct taped on for 40 miles). Love them! The upper inside leather liner does require care to avoid cracking and peeling (clean and condition regularly!!!!). With proper maintenance, these boots WILL last a lifetime. Thanks!

I purchased these beauties in anticipation of a trip to Alaska this summer. I'm still in the process of breaking them in (a must if your going to do any serious hiking). So far they are extemely comfortable and waterproof. They look great, but the real test will come this summer.
