I bought these boots in 2006 and do not have one single complaint about them. Best boot I've ever owned. Lightweight, comfortable, durable, etc. I've climbed hills, mountains, been in and out of rivers, lakes, oceans, you name it. Love them, will buy another pair when these finally die.

Overall, this is a good boot, very comfortable. I wore these in Afghanistan for about four months and about halfway through, the rubber on both toes began to seperate from the boot. Not sure if it was a combination of the heat and and walking on the rough terrain or what. I love Merrell's though, and will continue to buy from them.

I use this for 3 day Milsim, 150 hectares jungle terrain. Comfortable boots but my only problem its not waterproof. I Wish Merrell will have GORE-TEX version of Sawtooth.

I've been wearing the Sawtooth for work for about a month now and they are great! They have great support and are excellent traction and are a lot more solid feeling than I anticipated. So far my feet have stayed dry and are breaking in very well. I would recommend these boots to anyone looking for a solid boot for rugged country.
