Exciting times today at Merrell as we can officially announce the launch of the new-look online adventure magazine: The Pack. Our Alpha Pack is made up of world class experts from across the world of active adventure, and they’ll be on hand to help you achieve your personal best in everything from nutrition to training schedules, and of course they’ll have plenty of inspiring stories from the trail too.
So, what can you expect from us over the next few months? The latest news from Merrell and around the world will be going up as and when it happens, and we’ll be offering how-to guides on commonly requested topics with our experts giving you the secrets of their success. We’ll be offering some great recipes to ensure you’re fueled for your personal challenges, and suggesting what high performance gear you’ll want to pack for the adventure.
Most exciting, though, are our Pack Stories and Epic Trails. Pack Stories are the kind of inspirational anecdotes you’ll want to hear from people who have already achieved incredible things. Already you can read how Sean Conway defied the odds to be the first person to swim from Land’s End to John O’ Groats, how Michael Chambers channelled the disappointment of a harrowing Everest excursion into taking on Mount Kenya, the tale of Eric Larsen’s fascinating trek to the North Pole and Tobias Mews’ experiences in becoming the highest ranking Brit on the Marathon des Sables. We’ve got plenty more tales of challenge and achievement where those came from.
Once you’re feeling suitably inspired from those reads, our Epic Trails section is the place to go to read all about our Alpha Pack’s favorite trails, packed with all the information you need to know: from what makes them special to how long they are, when to go and how to get there. Already we’ve covered the Tour du Mont Blanc, the Pennine Way and the John Muir trail. Plenty more inspiration to come from our experts!
What do you think of the new look site? Any areas you want our experts to cover? We want to help you to push yourself to achieve great things, so be sure to let us know how we can help you in the comments.
