Joey Tajan

When not competing in races, Joey enjoys bagging peaks and exploring new trail systems. The California-based ultra-marathoner is especially fond of Freel Peak, Ralston Peak, and Pyramid Peak in the Lake Tahoe region. Joey’s greatest accomplishment was tackling the Western States in 2017. Running through cold-water streams, potholing through muddy ground, and slipping around on hilly snow gives him a chance to embrace his limits and grow in humility. If he’s not crushing trails, Joey is likely exploring his creative side, sketching and even picking up the paintbrush from time to time.
