Taking place in November, the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival is regarded as the premier adventure film festival in the world and consequently attracts some of the best filmmakers, all vying for one of the coveted awards.

After the festival ends, some of the best films are then showcased in a world tour that travels through more than 40 countries, as well as 41 states in the USA.

There are more than 30 films featuring a range of styles and themes that include climbing, skiing, kayaking, biking, adventure, culture and environment, of which you can expect to watch between 6 and 10 at a screening.

Radical Reels Tour

Each year, the Banff Mountain Film Festival presents a collection of the best ‘high-adrenaline’ films that were entered into the competition. Visiting more than 65 locations around the US and Canada, the Radical Reels Tour will keep you open mouthed awe as you watch action packed films of base jumping, paddling, skiing, snowboarding and many more exciting sports.
