Just bought a pair of black Nikita boots. Have not had a chance to wear then yet - -but predictions are for an 8 inch spring snow tomorrow. So, do I need to treat the boots in any way to be sure they stay just as cute as they are now? Any special products for the leather?

Recently purchased the Nikita Waterproof boot and am 100% satisfied with the look, comfort and performance of the boot....and they look great. At 1st I was skeptical that the bed of the boot would be warm enough without any fur lining....but they truly are the warmest boot I have ever worn! Thanks for creating a superior boot that looks great too! Would love to see more boots with a 2 inch heel since I am only 5 ft tall.

Great waterproof, insulated boots. They keep my feet toasty warm in the lowest temperatures we've had so far of 7-20 degrees and are completely waterproof - I have even put my booted foot in a partially frozen bucket of water to break the ice and my foot did not get wet, nor was there any seam seepage. Additionally, though the boots have shoestring laces with which to adjust the fit, the boots can be pulled on/off without changing their tension once the correct lacing adjustment is achieved, which makes them even easier to just slip on/off when I need to make a quick trip outside. I am also a Home Health nurse and these boots look nice enough to wear regularly in cold weather when visiting patients in their homes. I usually wear a 9 1/2 - but the size 9 fits perfectly without heel slippage. I've never had a pair of insulated boots before and I am so glad that my husband chose Merrell Nikita boots with which to surprise me for Christmas!

I wore these boots twice and loved the comfort. On the third wearing while lacing up the boot the one of the two leather lace holders ripped. I don't get why these would work and will eventually rip when tightening laces. I still love the boot and if not for the rip would still wear them. The comfort and the soles are unbelievable.
