Finally I have had Scarpa For my hunting/hiking needs for years. Over the years my feet have changed(more barefoot less shoes) so finding boots that don't kill my feet has been tough. I have to say these Moab's in the wide width are perfect. Waterproof confirmed and plenty of room to accommodate the various sock thicknesses for the conditions. This is my third pair of Merrell products and Merrell is it for me. BZ

3rd pair of Moab's I'm kind of a creature of habit. I find something that works, feels good, performs as advertised, looks good for a long time, then I'm in. I purchased my first pair of (low cut) Moab's 6 years ago. Wore them all summer that year and bought a second pair of Moab's but in the mid cut and waterproof for winter. I wore these daily for 5 years and then converted them to work boots. They served me well and I only took them out of service because the Vibram soles were worn enough to make me want some better traction. I cleaned these up with soap and water and now have relegated them to yard work boots. Bought the new pair of Moab 2s on line, and have worn them several times already for casual wear. Fit was perfect out of the box, quality of workmanship as good as I expected. Yet to be seen if they have the stamina my old Mids had but we shall seen. By the way, still wearing the low cuts for casual wear, still look and feel as good as the day I put them on. BTW, someone asked me why I bought the first pair. I tell them I saw a picture of a Navy Seal coming out of a hut in Afghanistan and his bootwear sported the Merrell orange seal on the tongue. It was obvious they were Moab's and I decided if it was good enough for the guys toting the heavy load downrange then it was good enough for an old guy like me.

Good water repellent , average comfort Have had the Moab 2 for about one month , so far waterproofing is very good but waiting for the Spring rains for the true test . Comfort is adequate but average. Time will tell if the product improvements for this model are real or just a sales pitch.

Ecxcellent Boot I'm fixing to purchase a second pair of these boots after having used my first pair as everyday wear for 4 years and then assigning them work boot status. After 1.5 years in a metal recycling environment, they are still going strong. A good washing every 3 months insures they not only wear well but look great too. This is without a doubt the best pair of boots I've owned, ever.
