How To

Everyone loves a top tip, something that makes you go, ‘Wow – that’s genius’. After all, anything that allows us to travel lighter, go faster or reach further must be a good thing. So, over the coming months, we’ll be posting a series of #PackHacks to help you get the most out of your hikes.

3 things to do with a Merrell Tubular

If you were to define the word ‘Versatile’ then you’d simply refer to a Merrell Tubular. It’s the Swim Army penknife of clothing. Indeed, although they may not look much, there are a million and one ways you can turn this clever piece of head-ware into something useful for when you’re on the trail. Here are three:

Make sure no water gets in your backpack

This incredibly simple idea turns your normal backpack into a waterproof carrying machine. Simply insert a trash bag inside the pack and then chuck your loo roll, cellphone, map and everything inside! You can even reuse it at home afterwards – win win!

Turn a toilet roll into a speaker for your phone

Surprise your friends by turning a loo roll into a speaker to play music from your phone. Simply cut a whole in the side of the cardboard, bigger enough to place your phone into, and hey presto. You have a speaker! Not only that, it weighs almost nothing.

If you’ve got some great #PackHacks worth bragging about, then tweet us @MerrellOutside or leave us a message on Facebook.
