I am a postal carrier in MI, and I have had these shoes for almost 2 wks now. I am impressed by their waterproof ability since, I wore them all day in the rain and my feet remained dry. I would however, suggesst that if you are going to wear another type of insert in your shoe like me, then I would suggest that you go with a wider size shoe. The only real complaint that I have about the shoes is that the stap on the back of the shoe easily tore off on my second day of wearing them. Other than that, I try to switch up my inserts inside the shoes to ensure that my support doesn't wear out quickly since I walk 12 miles a day, 6 days a week.

I have wanted a pair of these for a long time and after my work shoes fell apart yesterday I finally went out and sprung for a pair! I own a remodeling co. and I also do a super long list of outdoor activities. I really think these shoes are going to do the trick! They seem to be comfortable and really tuff. I would like to complain about the help I received while shopping for them at Dicks or lack of help anyways! I really wanted Gore-Tex but was told the Intercept didn't come in Gore-Tex. I bought them anyways and came to your site only to find out they do! Not your fault just poorly trained sales people which is bad for you guys because you make a great product! Well I'm off to work with my new shoes on, looking forward to a comfortable day. Thanks

i got my 1st pair in 2003, and it's still alive and sill in use, i got another one in 2008, great shoes!!! i recently tried on the intercept gore-tex, great traction and fit but i just felt some discomfort in my right foot, the joint / bone before my big toe, when i walked i felt the "stiching" for the hoop for the laces were hitting the bone / joint. i tried another pair same size, it had the same discomfort, i cant say if the shoe had to be broken in or will that discomfort be forever there, so i cant say if the shoe or my foot is the problem. i want to get it, cuz i'm very satisfied with the toughness, function of the brand, and the workmanship on this new one is GREAT!!! stiched sole, hard rubber toe end, hope to get some feed back re my issue, thanks!!
