Route

Our adventure began at 8:45am in the Corral parking lot, a great place to meet friends if you’re hiking together. The route takes you up to the Cap de Creus lighthouse, but you can make a pitstop for a swim in a spectacular cove. The route in total took about 4 hours, but we were a big group which means we move slower! Once past the lighthouse and into the town, there are great spaces to stop for lunch. The Alltrails link shows the route - we started from Portlligat, not Cadaques. Along the route there are no water fountains, so make sure you have brought enough with you.

Field Notes:

I really enjoyed this hike and seeing everyone having a great time. I was very excited to do it with friends, and especially my mother, as this is a place I have been coming to throughout my childhood. My mother loves doing this type of adventure with me and sharing this moment with her was very special for me.

Good To Know

If you plan to go by car, access with vehicles is restricted on some weekends and especially in the summer months so we recommend that you check the dates and accessibility to the National Park Cap de Creus on its official website. In high season, you can only access by car if you have a reservation at the restaurant of the Far de Cap de Creus. Otherwise, you have the option of parking in the parking lot of "El corral d'en Morell".

When To Visit

The best time is spring and early summer, before it gets too hot.

Q&A:

Why did you start sharing your adventures on Instagram?

During the COVID lockdown I was climbing the walls trapped inside, so I decided to post videos of me from the summers before doing some crazy stuff and it was getting some traction, until one day I uploaded a video and in 24 hours it had 13 million views! So, I continue to share my videos as I hope it inspires people and brings joy.

How did you get into adventure sports?

My friends will tell you that I cannot sit still! So I was very young when I got into surfing and skateboarding - and once I’m into something, I’m committed!

Top 3 places to go hiking in Spain:

Cap de Creus, Costa Brava El Teide, Tenerife Montseny, Catalonia

What the one non-safety-essential always in your bag?

My GoPro is essential! I take it on all my adventures.

What is your life motto?

You only have one life, so make the most of it.
