Light weight and great fit! - by , Feb 12, 2020
5/ 5 Stars
I always buy Merrell's, and am always happy with the product. They are nice looking, super comfortable, light weight and don't take up a lot of room when packing. Really nice color too! I love them.

Must get correct size - by , Feb 03, 2020
3/ 5 Stars
I purchased a 1/2 size smaller than normal. It was still slightly larger than expected but was also comfortable and didn't seem like an issue. However, very quickly (approx. 20-30 wears) the shoe began to wear out from the inside to out. There is a very thin soft liner between the top of your foot and the exterior material. As you can see the toe area has been reinforced. But apparently my toe was close enough to the non-reinforced area that once that thin liner wore out, the exterior material quickly began to wear out as well. I'm using Gorilla Glue to keep it from spreading. It changes the cosmetics of the shoe but it's better than nothing. Other than that, the shoes are definitely much more resilient to stepping on pebbles and small rocks compared to my pair of Vapor Glove. With those I could feel the tiniest of objects. Unfortunately, they wear out very quickly on the soles.

Great shoe! - by , Feb 01, 2020

These shoes fit me extremely well. Comfortable, good arch support and stylish. I’m on my feet 8-10 hours a day and Trail Glove 5 shoes support me in a way no other shoes are able to do!

What did we do to deserve this shoe? - by , Jan 25, 2020
1/ 5 Stars
This shoe seems like it is intentionally designed to inflict as much pain as possible on it's wearer. I went for my first trail run today and at 7 1/2 miles in I took the shoes off and walked the final 2 1/2 miles in my socks. You would think that this would have been somewhat painful but I honestly wish would have done it a mile in. The toe box is good, sadly that is it. The heel and midfoot are the most uncomfortable thing I have ever put on my feet. I would rather walk barefoot across a field of thorns than go one more step in these.

Barefoot styles are made so you will feel connection with the terrain, so there is very little cushion. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to call the team at 800.288.3124. Thank you.

Shoes fit right and best for trail running. - by , Jan 24, 2020

Love the product! Have been running more comfortable with the new shoes. Zero heel-to-toe makes a difference as compared to the cushioned ones.

great shoe - by , Jan 16, 2020

other reviews state that these shoes run a 1/2 size large, so i ordered a half size smaller that what I had in last years model and the fit just right. Just a little more soft arch support in these shoes that last year which is nice. Still a true flexible minimist shoe without heel rise.

Go minimal! - by , Dec 30, 2019

At first I thought the outsole wouldnt protect me from rocks and things of that nature but they seem to keep the bottom of my feet happy. I like to wear these when I fly fish, hike, or swim. The minimal design keeps me closer to the ground thus helping with balance in questionable situations. They wear well with thick winter socks as well as my everyday ankle socks. Thanks for making a useful, good looking pair of shoes Merrell! 🤙🏼

Excellent long lasting trail running/hiking/gym shoe - by , Dec 28, 2019

I have had the trail glove 4 for two and a half years, wear them most days, and they have held up incredibly well. Great grip for the trails, rock scrambles, or the gym (especially with the 0mm heel to toe drop). Coming back here to buy another pair from Merrell and hope that the next generation is just as good.

Not made for normal feet + poor quality - by , Dec 27, 2019

I don't ever write poor reviews on products but I want to prevent someone making the same mistake I made. I figured that Merrells would be high quality shoes for the price point. I saved up the money and purchased these shoes. Unfortunately they didn't even last me the length of the summer. Below I'll just write a summary of what I noticed fall apart with these expensive pieces of junk. 1. The cloth/breathable mesh like material wore holes through them quick 2. The cleats on the bottom of the shoes wore off in about 2 months. 3. Not made for feet! Claim to form to a human's natural foot. But They were about the most uncomfortable shoes imaginable. Over time these shoes actually killed my feet. At first I thought I was getting plantar fasciitis, something I've never had problems with before. But once I stopped wearing these shoes the pain went away. 4. The zero drop sole design is almost too thin for wearing comfortably on hard surfaces...I would have been better off barefoot. I had high hopes for these shoes. But I can say one thing, they are not worth the amount of money I paid. If you are tight on a budget and on the fence about these shoes, take my experience into consideration.

Tolerable but could be better - by , Dec 26, 2019
3/ 5 Stars
Previous Trail Gloves fit well and I really like the big toe box of this model. t The Trail Glove 5 I just got is a good length, but seems to be wider so the shoe puckers across the top of my foot when laced up, which the last model I had does not. Also, I'm disappointed that the pull-on loop at the heel was eliminated, unexplainable in a $100 shoe.
