Great Shoe So Far in the Trail-Glove Vein Was very excited to receive these and, as per usual with about 90% of the Merrells I try-and/or-buy, my sizing is smack in the middle of 9.5 and 10 so I have to choose the compromise. For these, since they're so snug fitting, I think I'm opting for the 10s. The leather upper on this footbed is what I've been wanting for several years --- I own three pairs of Trail Gloves and when the weather is nice they're all I wear other than sandals or boots occasionally because they're most comfortable favorite shoe I've ever had. These Parkway Emboss shoes seem to be exactly what I've been wanting, though I'm interested to hear Merrell chime in about the uppers on these: it's stated that they are full-grain leather however the shoe upper simply does not *smell* like leather. Perhaps its something in the treating and dying - I'm not sure, but I hope it is indeed leather because I'd like to apply conditioner/waterproof dressing and wear these casually in the cooler months. Overall, just walking around the house after receiving three pairs (different sizes and colors - these were impossible to find anywhere in my city so I ordered them - not direct but via Amazon) they are ridiculously comfortable and exactly what you'd expect looking at them if you're familiar with the Trail Gloves. The upper is stiffer so there is not quite as much flexibility but still very good. The footbed feels great and they hug just nearly as well as a TG but are *significantly* warmer. If they keep out the rain and last well then they are indeed exactly what I've been hoping for from Merrell. My only worry with the inner-side lace-holes --- since they are merely cutouts in the leather, not reinforced with any other material I'm concerned they may stretch and/or break over time. They appear to be the weak point, but that is only a suspicion - we shall see. For now, these seem great and I'm super happy with them.

Good shoe construction and arch support. Only thing for me on this shoe was the elastic band on the shoes did rub my foot causing discomfort. I switched them out for the same pair and had the same issues - even with socks on.
