Just what I was looking for! - by , Aug 11, 2020
5/ 5 Stars
I have been looking for years for a shoe or should I say sneaker like the Women's Hydrotrekker Synthetic Sieve. First I went to a local shoe warehouse and they did have something similar to the Hydrotrekker, but it was not at all comfortable. The Hydrotrekker is very comfortable, light fitting and most of all it was just what I was looking for! I needed a sneaker that would let your feet breathe in warm weather. I ordered my Mom who is 75 years old a pair and she just loves them! Soon I'll be ordering another pair in a different color. I highly recommend the Women's Hydrotrekker Synthetic Sieve. I wear an 8-1/2 in regular shoes, but in sneakers I usually were an size 8, so that's what I ordered and they fit perfect. Also, you should try the Terran Rake Backstrap. Very nice and comfortable sandle. I purchased two pair!

This shoes were perfect for our family trip to the mountains. Lots of water activity and they held up great, dried fast, and felt awesome.

Not Made for the Outdoors - by , Aug 05, 2020

It bums me out to write this review, I hate writing negative reviews, but it bums me out even more that these shoes were such a let down. I had an earlier version of this shoe (All Out Blaze Sieve Sandal) and absolutely loved them. They were as comfortable as slippers but as protective and supportive as boots. Then they fell apart after only a year and I had to replace them with the new, and definitely not improved version. This shoe has convinced me that product testing is not a real thing, and that updates on products only exist to make the product more expensive to the consumer but not actually a better product. I run a dog care business where I hike and walk dogs. I hike 3-10 miles a day, 5 days a week. I live in Central Oregon so I walk in dense forest, high desert, dirt, sand, rocks, gravel, grass, asphalt, you name it. I have gone through A LOT of hiking boots, shoes, & sandals. I normally give shoes a month of testing before I decide if I like them or not. These Merrells let me down the first time I went outdoors. They do not adjust well. There is an adjustable bungee, but it does not tighten the shoe to your foot where it's needed. The bungee is also a pain to make small adjustments to. There is no heel adjustment and the material is not stretchy so the heel of the shoe does not properly strap around the heel of your foot. It just sits loosely and sad without any support. The shoe has openings allowing water to escape when in a stream or river, however these openings also allow rocks to get in and then the rocks settle into the small holes in the insole, creating a bed of sharp pebbles for you to walk on. I have to empty the insoles twice a day at least. The bottoms of the shoes are very grippy, and have little nodes all over them. Also the perfect place for rocks to get stuck. The grooves on the sole of the shoes are perfect debris catchers, and keep rocks and sticks snug in your shoe while you try to walk and ignore them. It's really uncomfortable to walk when the bottoms of your shoes are filled with rocks. Unfortunately working in dog care also means I don't have a lot of money, so I will have to suck it up and wear these shoes until I can replace them next summer. I plan on gifting these to my mother-in-law who enjoys walking on paved sidewalks and laminated mall floors as I believe that's what they are made for. (The photo is of the insole, after a ten minute walk with my own dog on a paved path. Had to remove rocks and sticks and cheat grass that were stabbing into my foot. After a hike every hole in the insole has debris in it)

Great water shoe - by , Aug 02, 2020

Have only worn show twice and so far I am pleased. Bought shoe for kayak trip, they are comfortable, lightweight and quick to dry. They stay secure on foot and transition from water to trail well. I normally wear size 10, purchased 9.5 and am quite happy.

Comfortable all purpose sandals - by , Jul 31, 2020

I have a somewhat wide foot and theses sandals fit comfortably. I also like the fact that they can be worn on trails and in the water and the closed toe area will offer protection on rocky trails.

Lightweight Versatile Shoes - by , Jul 30, 2020

They're cute and comfy. I wear socks with them when I'm hiking because I have sensitive skin. I could wear them without socks if I'm going to be near/in the water.

Not good for narrow feet - by , Jul 29, 2020

These shoes are cute and comfortable. I will not be able to wear them because when I tighten the laces I am left with a six inch long loop of shoe lace extending beyond the toe of the shoe. There is a plastic hook on the end of the shoe lace, but there is no place to secure the hook with the laces tightened for my feet. The laces are not elastic, so it is impossible to pull the tightened laces up enough to wiggle the plastic hook underneath.

Good outdoor summer shoe - by , Jul 28, 2020
5/ 5 Stars
I bought these for a trip to the mountains and they've been great. They are light and comfortable and most importantly keep your feet cool. I absolutely hate tying laces and these blend the best parts of slip-on shoes with sneakers. Note, I would not wear them for any serious hiking, but they are great for walks and errands. And though they won't win any fashion awards, they're not totally unattractive.
