Comfortable Boot - by , Oct 17, 2020

Purchased this shoe and could not be happier. Exceptional comfort right out the box. This shoe did not need any break-in. I am hoping to get the winter months out of this shoe.

Take a Hike! - by , Jun 20, 2020

It is seldom that I order a Merrell product because they hold up so well. But when I do I am never disappointed. In the past I have ordered a Swat boot, running shoe and of course hiking boots. I ordered a wide size in this latest boot and it fits me perfectly.

These boots fit just as expected and they are extremely comfortable. They are lightweight and just what i was hoping for. Long time customer of Merrell and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

The Alverstone boot fits perfect and feels great. The support provided is so good that I don’t have to wear my custom orthotic inserts. The only negative, if it is a negative, is that my feet sweat quite a bit in this boot. Otherwise, super comfortable and attractive boots. Well done as always.

I am female with very difficult to fit foot. Women's 8.5 or 9 E. Since most brands don't make women's shoes in E width, I have worn men's shoes for at least the last 40 years. It is even difficult to get a men's shoe to fit me. I have been wearing the men's All Out Blaze I boot for a few years, and it is delightful. I do have to remove the internal footbed, to get enough volume for me, but I like a minimal feel in footwear, so that is not a problem for me. I was told that this Alverstone is basically the replacement of the AOB. But I can tell you, the last is NOT the same shape. The AOB had a very wide toe box (like a duck foot shape) which is exactly what I want/need. The Alverstone has a more traditional pointy toe. And so it was WAY too long for me in the same size I wear in AOB even though the width was good. And they just didn't feel as good as the AOB. I WISH Merrell would bring back that shoe. It is the ONLY hiking boot that is comfortable for me. I am serious about that. Also, the top lacing hole should be a hook NOT a hole. Just terrible to lace with only holes and not hooks for at least the top one or 2 eyelets. I wanted to like this boot, but I sent it back. :( Merrell's MOAB hurts my foot. So it is not an option.
