As we plunge into October the changing of the seasons really starts to hit home. The environments shape is always shifting and our little part of this land is the centre of an ever-changing universe. Never is this is so obvious than when leaves fall from trees, light is replaced by dark and we are greeted by frost in the mornings.

Those early morning runs become a bit harder to stomach, the temptation to hibernate becomes a real one and never has a warm bed seemed to appealing. However for us Autumn is a special time of year and here is why.

  • Many landscapes become uninhabited or at least less inhabited than they have been through the summer months. Nowhere more is this the case than the UK’s beaches and coastlines. Is there a more pleasing way to spend an afternoon than walking along a deserted beach, passing only a handful of people over many miles. Even better if the day is cool, crisp and bright and the surf kicks up a bit to create a soundtrack for the day as waves hit the shore.
  • Many bridleways, woodland paths, bike trails and parks become a much more peaceful place in Autumn and so our mandate this Autumn is to think a little different – resist the gym, escape the X Factor vs Strictly Come Dancing fanfare and leave the car keys in your pocket.

Challenge yourself to do something normally reserved for warmer months. Take in the scenery in a different season and we believe you will discover an even better experience.
