Performance
Comfortable and light - by , May 04, 2020

I was looking for zero drop running shoes with more cushion to replace my Merrell Trail Glove 4. This pair fit the bill. They are super light and comfortable. It only took a couple of runs to break them in. Compared to the Trail Glove 4, these have more bounce and much less of that barefoot feel. The only complaint is the soles wear out fast, but maybe it’s because I use them mostly for road running. Other than that they are great.

Very comfortable out of the box. - by , May 03, 2020

Nice shoes, love the recycled aspect. Had to fuss with the pacing some but wore them bare foot out of the box and enjoyed them. Right amount of cushioning too.

Very comfortable shoes for daily run on the road - by , Apr 27, 2020

I run outside on the road about 30 mins every day in the morning and these shoes are very comfortable. They are very light and actually look nicer than on the pictures.

Go-to for rocky trails! Quality construction. But, needs to be more "barefoot" style. - by , Apr 26, 2020

I run minimalist shoes and I wanted a shoe for rocky trails (I run mostly in Vapor Glove 3's). This shoe fulfills its role perfectly. I love that it uses recycled materials and it seems very durable. I have run on roads, light trails, and rocky/muddy trails and it performs very well. Sustains: -Durable -Great traction -Lightweight -Zero drop -Drys quickly -Great price! Much better price than other trail shoes -Color looks better in real life. I thought it was going to look too girly, but its darker, more aqua-looking IRL. Improves: Since this is a barefoot style of shoe, I would like to see it fit more like a barefoot style shoe. -Needs to be a bit wider for toe splay. Minimalist runners like a big toe box; widen this out and this will be the best! I recommend a squarer toe box like the Vapor Glove 3 which has an awesome toe box (Note: I have wide feet). -Get rid of the arch support. Like many minimalist runners, I like a neutral shoe. The arch isn't too bad on this shoe, but it would be more comfy without the arch. Fit: Standard fit. I wear a 12 men’s and it fit well. (Note: I wear a 11.5 in the Vapor Glove 3’s because it runs ½ big in my opinion). Conclusion: Even if you are not a minimalist runner, this shoe should be your trail shoe. Solid construction. Low stack height but enough protection from rocks. But a bit wider toe box would be nice. That said, I normal wear wide shoes and I am keeping these shoes.

Great shoes, great price! - by , Apr 24, 2020

I had an old pair of bare access shoes that I ran on pretty hard so I was pleased to find the next generation at a nice price. The fit is *slightly* larger than expected,. Recycled materials are a plus and I don't foresee any loss in durability. Wide toe box which is standard on the zero drop shoes, good laces, pretty soft sole. I wouldn't run on coarse gravel in these and the lack of a rock plate is noticeable. The Trail Glove, while thinner, is a bit better protected from sharp stuff with the rock plate, but has a thinner tread for the slippery stuff. The tread on the bare access is light for anything other than dirt trails. If you're looking for more protection, then perhaps the Cirrus is best, though that is no longer a zero drop shoe. All things considered, these are exactly what I need for heavy-use trail running.
