Best shoe ever!!! I have had other heel droppers and never really felt any of them as comfortable as these. They feel great, just the right amount of drop I wanted/needed for my runs. I am a US Soldier currently deployed to Afghanistan, I use them here to run on the FOB and on the treadmill when its too cold to run outside. I will order another pair of these when I need them again.

tongue design comfortable and secure Have already put 200 miles on this as a primary trail running shoe. Tough soles, but very light. The special tongue design somehow feels better at longer distances. pic from PG&E trail.

Great update to all prior Trail Glove versions My 1st run in these was a 13 miler on single track. Totally perfect fit, ground feel and comfort.Slipper like feel As my foot has widened over the years I was concerned the TG4 wouldn't be as wide as prior models. That certainly wasn't the case at all. The single piece asymmetrical, wrap over tongue is the way to go from now on. The outsole lugs do the job without feeling excessive, a great improvement over the past outsole patterns My only nit pick would be to have an additional lace hole at the top but then again probably not.

Awesome Shoe I have owned 3 pairs of trail gloves and a pair of vapor gloves and these are my favorite so far. They are the heaviest trail gloves I have owned but they still maintain a barefoot feel and they are much more durable than previous versions. The redesigned tongue is a nice feature. I would definitely recommend these to anyone doing a lot of trail runs shorter than 15 km.

My size just isn't right... I am an avid Merrell buyer... I have the chameleons 2,3,4. Two version of the jungle moc and I have religiously worn the Merrell winter boot that is completely goretex (rubber plastic) for over 7 years, winter has not begun until I have slipped my foot in the boot its literally gives me a massage as I put it on ever after 7 years. I do assistance for homeless re-entry, my clients walk everywhere, they will wear a shoe down to the tread in 2 months of walking. To save money I decided to give individuals the chameleon 2 or whatever is affordable off ebay. What took 2 months now takes 1-2 years for my clients to destroy. I buy them for my parents etc..Every social experience I need I have purchased 9.5 Merrell shoes, except one... running. For 6 years I have used the vibram 5 fingers, but every winter I give up running and swim as my feet just dont enjoy running in snow. But this year I thought I would keep it up so I order these shoes 9.5 and for some reason they are an entire size too large. At first, because I was use to using the 5 finger, I thought maybe they were just a different feeling, but after a quick 6 mile run I instantly had shin splints and the shoes got a lot more spacious. But really that's not my problem. Other people say its true to size but I dont know why all my other 9.5's are perfect but I am swimming in these. Now my beef isn't with the sizing, maybe this is normal. But I live on an island in the South Pacific. Everything I order, I order online. I am meticulous on sizing things. Motorcycle helmets, proper denim jeans... so I just wish that in 2017 when more and more people live online that Merrell could provide a more detailed sizing chart. I mean the manufacturers should provide detail sizing schematics for the company.. it could be as simple as copying and pasting those figures so runners could get the same sort of specificity in the fit as I can with my Five Fingers shopping online. Now other people have not complained about size so I dont know how my shoes are so uncomfortable maybe its just these individual shoes. But for me when it comes to buying running shoes its not about price but about feel.. and right now I dont have the happy feeling I as hoping to have looking forward to running in Merrell's all winter...
