Possibly got a bad production batch that slipped through quality control At the outset, I am a fan of Merrell products, but something was amiss with this particular purchase. I bought a pair of Moab Rovers (espresso) size 10.5 in 2014 and wore them for a few months and went to India. My cousin liked them and I offered him my pair. Upon my return to the States, in late 2015, I purchased the same model, colour and size of Moab Rover's (from a retailer that sold Merrell products) and wore them once in a while over the next year. By once in a while, I mean about once or twice a month on the sidewalks of Manhattan. I took them with me to India in March 2017 and wore them exclusively for my trip. At this point I noticed a number of deficiencies in the produce that became apparent from sustained use. THE GOOD: I like the style, shape and convenience. The vibram sole is great and sturdy and they are essentially a more rugged version of the Jungle Mocs. THE ODD: ONE: One shoe was taller than the other. I know that everyone's legs are uneven (one slight smaller than the other) but I never noticed until wearing these shoes - I think one sole placement was off and made one shoe noticeably higher than the other. TWO: Breathability was not apparent. One the plane ride over to India, the shoes were quite "ripe" by the end (I wore light wooden socks). This continued throughout the trip requiring more frequent airings. THREE: The sole at the front tip of the right shoe came undone. FOUR: The sole and upper shoe became undone around the instep of the right shoe. THE CONCLUSION: The shoes did not hold up to sustained use while in India. I was quite surprised as Merrell makes good products and this was an unexpected turn of events that I can only chalk up to quality control. While in India, I examined my cousin's Merrells (that I had given) and tried them on again for reference, and it was like wearing a glove and they were in much better condition despite being older and worn more often.

I like the black version for do-it-all dress shoes. I am an OCD person. I have 3 pairs of these shoes. One for "wcwd" dress shoes (white collar work dirt) dress shoes. They can be used if I work as a businessman/ salesperson/ or restaurant worker. These can get dirty if I have to walk around in factories or in restaurants where there could be oil or spilled food on the ground. One for "wcwc" dress shoes (white collar work clean) dress shoes: They can be used if I work as a healthcare worker. These can stay clean as a "clean" pair of shoes required for the job. One for "go out" dress shoes. These can be used to go out to eat at a restaurant. All three pairs of my shoes are the black color. I label pieces of cardboard I cut to fit inside the shoe. I use these labels to tell the difference between which shoe is for which purpose. ( I used to use a permanent marker to mark the shoe itself, but I found it was too hard to read on an all black shoe.) I am almost 23 years old male. I am in the process of finishing college. I want to get an associate's degree in physical therapy assistant. (PTA). I actually have a CNA license (certified nurse assistant) license and a Class A CDL (I can drive a manual 10 speed semi) I worked for a trucking company for a solid 4 months of solo driving. I got fired though because I hit a car (It was a minor fender bender to the front of the car not to mention the car was partially at fault for parking in a no parking area right in front of where the semi tankers back up to pump out water.) My company was mad because I was going to just give the people $500 cash to get it fixed and so I didn't tell them what happened right away. Some nosy supervisor called my company and ratted us out. So my company had to go there and look at what happened. I finished that job and the other one assigned for the day. The company called me and fired me. I went home to the bank, got $500 cash and drove back to deliver the cash to the people's car I hit. So after this I realized I don't want to be screwed in life anymore so I decided to finish my college degree. I went back and got a CNA license and now I am looking for jobs. My main goal in life is to move to Idaho because I like cooler weather and I like to snowboard and ski. I live in a country town in Illinois. It is very flat and the weather goes from one extreme to the next just like most people's moods who live and work in the Midwest. I love the laid back feeling of Western states. Hopefully I will be able to transition to a new life with the help of Merrell's awesome products. Thank you Merrell, you are a lifesaver!

Comfort and Style with numerous options I am on my feet 14-16 hours each day. It is hard to find a shoe that is comfortable for that extended amount of time. These shoes have exceeded expectation. They are extremely slip resistant and breatheable. Cleaned easily with soap and water.
