Perfect Pair of All-Around Boots These are great all-around boots any occasion. They're comfortable for muddy hikes or yard work. Can't attest to their warmth in the winter but they've been great so far.

Very comfortable The only downside to these boots is that wearing them in warm weather..which I would say is not what they are designed for ..makes my feet too warm and they sweat too much..

A little narrow Great boot everything I have come to expect from Merrill my only issue is the boot is super narrow, I had read reviews that said this but figured MY foot will be different, well it has little to do with your foot and everything to do with how the boot is made. Quality wise the boot is exceptional they will definitely keep your feet warm and dry. Overall not a bad boot but you will not be able to wear thicker socks or you will sacrifice comfort.

Great light weight boots for snowshoeing I decided to give these boots a workout before submitting a review. So after three treks with snowshoes this winter and many hikes along muddy, icy, snowy trails during mud season I had a good idea how these boots performed. In winter I usually wear a pair of liner socks under thick wool socks so I buy a half size larger boot, but these boots seem to run a little bigger than other Merrells I own so I recommend buying your exact size. The combination of socks and insulated boots kept my feet nice and warm with temperatures in the low teens (deg F) in the morning yet comfortable later in the day with temperatures near or slightly above freezing. They also remained dry all day even in mud and slush. The seams held up nicely and didn’t yield where the boot normally buckles and stresses the threads. Best of all, when wearing snowshoes, I really appreciate the light weight of these boots. The only area that I wasn't impressed with was the “Ice Grip” soles, thus the four star rating. When walking on icy sections of the trail they didn’t perform any better, or any worse, than other boots I’ve worn. I am hopeful they will continue to perform as well next winter.
