best trail running shoes Bought those shoes about 6 months ago, I beat the heck out of them everyday, and they're still going strong. Lightweight, durable, nice grip. I highly recommend this model and i'll definitely purchase another pair when these are gone.

Great shoe for trail running This is an excellent shoe for trail running and even urban running. I regularly wear then when in CrossFit class about 5 days a week. I use them at outdoor events like the Mudder and Spartan Race and would not compete without these shoes. The only problem I have is also mentioned by another reviewer, the sole is detaching. Mine is coming apart in the arch area. I don’t know if this is a common problem or if these shoes are just not made to withstand CrossFit activities. I have not had them for very long at all (maybe 2 months) and feel like I should not be having this problem so soon. It is frustrating because the shoes were so expensive to begin with. I thought I would have gotten more life out of them. Realistically, once the sole begins to separate, the shoe will not last much longer. Overall though, I love these shoes and recommend them with the caveat of a short shoe life expectancy if you are doing CrossFit or obstacle course races in them.

Great shoe, outsole wears too quick. Overall the shoe is pretty great. I do mostly road-running on them, which may seem counter productive for such an aggressive tread pattern, but they provide the right amount of support for my feet. There are two issues I encountered: First, going from a shoe with an insole, to these is a bit rough on the feet. It took about 10 miles to get broken in, to the point where my foot felt normal. The second and third issues, is the durability of the outsole, and the separation of the outsole. I'm currently using superglue to hold them together. I would estimate that in less than 60 miles of running, the forefoot of the sole is now flat. The mid and heel of the outsole still has significant amount of tread. (This may be due to less heel to toe impact, and road running). If and when there is a next iteration of this particular model, here are some suggestions: Tougher outsole material (i.e. vibram) Improved footbed (slightly more cushion) Lastly - Please do something about the laces. I don't know why the change to flat laces, but they continually come untied, unless double knotted.

Excellent trail running shoe Bought this shoe about a month ago and have run a 30 miler and a 40 mile trail race in these (grand traverse trail race). The GT had numerous wet crossings and these shoes drained well and were comfortable running when wet. Traction all around is outstanding in all the conditions I've encountered. Mud, rocks and loose dirt. Stability on the trails is outstanding as well and they inspire confidence on steep downhills. They were comfortable enough for 2 very long runs. If I had to change anything it would be to make the heel cup a bit lower (like the trail glove), just a personal preference.

Great shoe. Watch for rocks and hard roads. I bought these shoes back in feb 17 primarily to use for the America's Toughest Mudder in Los Angeles. I ran a spartan race and the Bataan Death March to break in the shoes and had no issues. Once the Toughest Mudder event came up, I was really interested in seeing how these shoes would hold up against the hills the coarse was going to have. I went up and down massive hills while soaked, and these shoes did not lose traction once. They drained fairly quickly and fit well. Since then I have probably put in close to 300 miles in these shoes without much degradation of the shoe. The only part that has really worn down is the treading, and since these shoes are pretty minimalist, stepping on rocks now feels like stepping on legos so that's something to watch out for. Also running on asphalt in these shoes definitely hurts the legs after a bit so keep that in mind. Other than that I plan to buy another pair for Worlds Toughest Mudder in Nov.
