Three years ago I bought two pairs of Merrell’s Outland Mid GORE-TEX boots for a trip to England. I took one pair with me and on the second day of hiking around on a wet walk, the boots started to leak. When I returned the US, I contacted Merrell and they told me to return the boots for a replacement. The Outland boots were out of stock so I requested a pair of Legacy Gore-Tex boots which were more expensive but Merrell shipped them anyway. Three years later I still have those boots and they’re still comfortable, still dry and I can’t believe how long they’ve lasted since I wear them almost every day. I walk 2-1/2 miles two/from work with hikes on the weekend so they’re starting to get a little long in the tooth. Last month I ordered two more pairs of these boots … that’s how much I like them. These are without a doubt the BEST boots that I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned MANY, MANY boots over the years. My only fear is that Merrell will stop making them!!

I can't say enough about this boot. I took these as my primary hiking boot on a winter trip to Yellowstone and the Tetons. My feet were always dry and toasty. The design is very stable. The sole has great traction in the backcountry, and it's thick enough that rough going (roots & rocks) don't affect you. Like every pair of Merrells I've had (and I've had a bunch) this boot fit perfectly right out of the box - required very little break-in. From day hikes to multi-day backpacking, this is the only boot I need.

This hiking boot is the most comfortable and durable hiking boot. I bought this boot about 1.5 years ago. I hike a few times a week and travel with the quite a bit. It's lasted through 10 different countries as well as the daily hikes on Hawaii. My feet are never wet in this but, it's only happened once when I fell in the stream. You can't go wrong with this boot, and the size is perfect to the T.
