Everything about this trail shoe has been engineered for high-speed performance. GORE-TEX® gasket construction provides a tight seal against the weather and the occasional loose stone, while a surprisingly aggressive 5mm lug pattern provides all-terrain traction. Add in a mid-height silhouette for greater stability and you have a shoe ready to take you anywhere.

Excellent Shoe!! Break in was minimal if it all. Felt great right out the box. I was looking for a boot to go climb Mt. Fuji in Japan. I am very happy I made this choice. Made the climb successfully and it was extremely comfortable. Great stability and traction. Highly recommended.

Like all Merrell shoes you get what you pay for and these are no exception to the rule. These are better breathing than the last pair of merrell gor-tex boots. Their break-in period is very short and they are comfortable right out of the box.

Ok, so I'm fairly certain that I know the person that left the last review. I am also in Afghanistan, it is my second deployment here. The mountains are unforgiving and are absolutely brutal on your boots. But these have been so comfortable, and so durable, I am absolutely positive that I will wear no other boot downrange. I just wish that I had found these last deployment. Many men in the platoon have ordered these, and all are very excited about them. Thank you Merrell for getting it right!
