I love my Intercept Gore-Tex shoes. They fit great and are extremely comfortable even in the harshest conditions. However, I have a couple issues. Not long after I got these in the mail the right shoe developed a creek/ squeak. It doesn't take away from the performance but its so annoying when walking on hard surfaces. The other problem I had was that the "M" on the side of the shoe is beginning to come off on left shoe. Again it doesn't hinder the performance but it is annoying. Other than the two problems I had they are great shoes and I love them.

I have hemophilia and footwear is extremely important and Merrells are the only shoes/sneakers that I've never got an ankle bleed with and they are all comfortable in extreme to my slender, a bit high arched feet but I know many with merrlls and different feet that also feel how I do about them being the absolute aces. This style I had originally thought was a laceless sneaker but after wearing them I never thought of returning, cool on your feet and comfortable and go in the contortionist position I have to do to reach and move things while I'm hurt. It took a couple weeks to break in but not as long as chameleon styles so if you buy wear them a month before making an angry review (I've read reviews about some shoes at merrell and then later after they're broke in the people love them. Merrells are built tought and comfortable, top of the line and a little longer break in period for chameleon types is insane to bicker about once you get to their sweet spot. I was at first wondering how that big 'M' would look but no worries, just think a pair with non-tying system would be great. I'd recommend to anyone I have many pair of merrells and I've gotten mother , father, friends and other family member plus friends to try them and they are converts hehe.

I am a postal carrier in MI, and I have had these shoes for almost 2 wks now. I am impressed by their waterproof ability since, I wore them all day in the rain and my feet remained dry. I would however, suggesst that if you are going to wear another type of insert in your shoe like me, then I would suggest that you go with a wider size shoe. The only real complaint that I have about the shoes is that the stap on the back of the shoe easily tore off on my second day of wearing them. Other than that, I try to switch up my inserts inside the shoes to ensure that my support doesn't wear out quickly since I walk 12 miles a day, 6 days a week.
