I love this coat. It's well insulated and fashionable. I wanted a long coat that would be warm enough for Chicago winters and also be fashionable. I found it in this coat! Although, I ordered the charcoal which is appropriately named, but looks more like wheat in the photos. I expected it to be a tan color with brown toggles. The charcoal color is a medium grey with dark grey toggles. It's really pretty, so I decided not to exchange it!

I recently ordered this jacket as I hate winter :) I got it just in time to wear at a winter parade and it was fabulous! It kept me warm in the 8 degree winter weather. I was nervous about how it would keep be warm when wearing dress clothes. I am pleasantly surprised to find that the my arms stay warm when wearing short sleeves and sits midway between my hips and knees - perfect length. I am 5'11" and ordered a large. The jacket sleeves felt short at first as the sleeves have a band that keep the cold air from flowing up the sleeves, it's similar to other jackets I own. The key items I like about the jacket is the light weight hood, length of the jacket, and the zipper close. I have found myself buying new coats every year, finding it difficult to find a stylish jacket that has a zipper closure. This is what led me to the Merrell jacket; with a zipper it looks fairly stylish without making me feel like I'm wearing an out of style jacket. I am hard on the button closed jackets so the zipper close should be helpful in the long run. The only thing I don't like about the jacket is that on the website the jacket looks more brown. In actuality it is more of an army green color and reminds me of army polyester blankets. I did a lot of research on jackets before making my purchases. I found the reviews extremely helpful. I am more than certain that I will be continuing to purchase Merrell attire as the price is worth the quality.

This coat has a really nice look -- tailored, slimming. More importantly it is warm and well made. I wear it down to 10 degrees or so, with a couple layers.
