Extra support around the ankle without compromise of the hyperventilating mesh upper due to trimmed down but efficient Dura leather strapping. Vibram® Multi-Sport Plus sole contains TC5+ rubber compound in traction zones for grip and durability.

Have had my pair for two years with no issues. They have seen many hundreds of miles in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and the only hole in them is where a root stabbed the top of my foot last summer! While the soles have almost worn out now, they feel as solid as they day I bought them. It will be sad when it is time to retire this pair, but I have already bought a new pair, waterproof this time. Hopefully they last as long as my current ones!

great hiking boot! I hike every day in the McDowell Mountains here in AZ....anywhere from 5 miles to 16 miles....over some fairly rough trails plus I do a lot of off-trail hiking in search of rattlesnakes. These boots are comfortable, light, and are a pleasure to wear. The ones I currently have are 10 months old and going strong!

ON MY SECOND DEPLOYMENT IN AFGHANISTAN WE WERE ABLE TO PURCHASE SPECIAL FOOTWEAR BECAUSE OF THE TERRAIN. I CHOSE TO GO WITH MERRELL'S MOAB MID'S AND AM VERY GLAD BY DOING SO. I TORTURED THESE BOOTS FOR MONTHS ON END, CLIMBING MOUNTAINS, RUNNING THROUGH SAND AND WATER BUT THEY NEVER LET ME DOWN. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED! I STILL WEAR THE SAME PAIR FOR KAYAKING AND HIKING IN THE US BUT THEY LOOK VERY WORN AND MY WIFE WANTS RID OF THEM. TOO BAD FOR HER BECAUSE I ORDERED ANOTHER PAIR TO QUIET HER BUT MY ORIGINALS WILL BE WORN AND KEPT IN THE GARAGE UNTIL THEY ROT OFF MY FEET. THANKS MERRELL, SGT PIECUCH, STANLEY R.
