I actually bought these in Moab after accidentally setting my other pair of shoes on fire at my campsite. I was hooked after my first hike in them. These shoes provide excellent traction to rocks and on the trail. They fit extremely well and are very comfortable. These were the only shoes I wore for about a year. After some time they tore on the leather just behind the toes on both sides but I think that's because I tend to be hard on my footwear. They are pretty well worn out and beaten up but I still wear them from time to time. This is an excellent shoe that I would and have recommended to anyone needing a light shoe for most outdoor excursions. I would however not recommend these if you are looking for a shoe for backpacking or travelling through skree or boulder fields as I prefer something a little stiffer and more supportive (I purchased a pair of Sawtooths and they are GREAT for that). Great shoe that I will be buying again.

I just wanted to let you know that im serving in afghanistan and ive have a pair of the goretex ones and they have been great but they are starting to fall apart on me from all the wear and tear ive put them through. All in all a very goot boot and I think anyone that is pretty active will love these boots.

I have been wearing Merrell for years. I have had 2 pair of Chameleon stretch shoes that have lasted me at least 8 years with my second pair still in use after purchasing them 4 years ago. Since that shoe is no longer available I searched for another pair of Merrell shoes that would provide the same great service. So last year I bought a pair of the Moab Ventilator Mid. These shoes are great. They are comfy, light on the feet, and still holding up after nearly a year of wear. I love Merrell boots and shoes.
