Zipper solution By **jf** 12/27/2009
Love this boot for its warmth and comfort, but was having trouble with the zipper unzipping (clearly I wasn't alone, as I'd seen this problem discussed here and elsewhere). Simple solution: the zipper must be flipped into the down position to keep it locked. Seemingly obvious – but I almost returned this great boot because of this issue!

Zipper Problem! By cnapier 2/11/2010
I bought these boots for my husband for Christmas and he loved them, but is so frustrated because of the zipper problem. We have had one of the worst winters in history and he wants to be able to use them, but every time he does ~ the zipper will not stay up and then snow gets in the shoes so bad that he cannot wear them. The look is great, the tread is exactly what he needs, but it doesn't do any good if the zipper will not stay up. I have read the reviews and thought that putting the zipper down would help, but he doesn't think that solves the problem. He is ready to return them. Please let me know if there is anything we can do.

Used 1 full season X'clnt By LShaeffer 9/23/2009
I've not experienced what the other reviewers have. Had mine for a full season and nothing but pleased. I did have a problem with the lace up ones but customer service exchanged them for the zip up ones with no problem. I have a few of the other brands of boots all high end and I find Merrell my main choice of wear and out of 365 days a year I spend 344 in Merrell and when there is snow or it is wet I use these boots.
