im in afghanistan and heard about merrells before we left to come over here. our 1st Sargent authorized us to wear merrells and it is the best decision weve had in a while. while other guys feet are getting torn up in the mountains, the guys with merrells have relatively good feet still. thanks merrell keep up the good work!

These shoes are no joke! The first couple days I was wearing them around, I got the dreaded "squeak" coming from the heel of the shoe and thought I would have to return them. Once I took them for a real test-drive at Pinnacles National Monument, it was safe to say they were broken-in and the "squeak" ceased. They are sized larger so if you have a chance to try them on somewhere, do it. I wear a 10.5 and got a 10 for a closer fit. I wear these things everywhere now! Does anyone have any recommendations for a good everyday/street shoe from Merrell? I'm eager to get another pair of the C3V GTX, but I want to try out a different model and see what other great shoes Merrell has to offer. If your serious about the outdoors, BUY THESE SHOES!

Hands down best pair of shoes I've ever owned. The first pair of merrels I ever owned were pretty plain slip ons, and those alone we're quite rigid and delightful. But, since then my lifestyle has changed and taken a more hardcore route. I currently enjoy mad hiking. Which is specifically why I got these, and no matter where or when I wear them they never stop amazing me. I went on a 6 hour hike just the other day, they kept my feet perfectly dry,, and comfortable. They have very think soles, and are very cushioned as well. Another aspect, they keep your feet cool as can be. I have not had my feet get hot in these once. Back to the soles, They also have some serious tread, I noticed this when I was rock climbing and found very little slip, and give. Which is absolutely fabulous is those situations. Lastly, they are quite stylish, whether fresh out of the box, or after they have been broken in, in the outdoors, I still wouldn't hesitate to where these with a suit. I'm a fifteen year old, who loves the outdoors, and backs these shoes to the end.
