Nice going Merrel ! NO WIDE SIZES AVAILABLE on what looks like a nice shoe I would buy. Will look at other brands now.
Thank you for your request to add more wide widths. We will be sure to pass it along to our product team.

Purchased for fishing out of a wet boat or canoe in the Everglades as well as getting around a campsite. Product exceeded my expectations. Warm, comfortable with accurate sizing and waterproof. Not for hiking but perfect for this type of activity.

Have worn these before and they are great...my go to shoe. The dark color is nicer than the lighter shoe I have worn in the past. Don't change it or discontinue it...that seems to happen to the things I like the best!

My old daily-wear standbys had finally given their all after years of faithful service. I live in Anchorage Alaska and weather and terrain call for a rugged, all-weather shoe. Something easy to wear and not too agrarian is nice. I like slip-ons because they are kinder to my aging back. And after 31 years here, I have reached a stage in life where slipping on the ice is a really bad idea. I appreciate quality shoes and I hate shoe shopping – so I tend to buy shoes that will last for years. I am also very difficult to fit because of a wide forefoot – I usually am limited to EE or EEEE, when I can find them. After a lot of online research this shoe was high on my short list. The lack of wide sizes concerned me but I headed off to a local Merrell retailer to give them a shot. The local retailer was great – very helpful, with a good size selection in stock. Now mind you – I have a very wide foot. I found the 11 ½M to fit well in the forefoot and toes, but it slipped at the heel a little. The 11M did not slip at all, but was tighter in the forefoot and toes. I knew for sure I didn’t want any heel-slipping - in my experience that never improves with time. Hoping for the best, I went for the 11M, hoping they would break in well. I am accustomed to buying 12EEEE (from a well-known sport shoe maker noted for wide sizes.) Break-in took a couple of weeks, which does not surprise me for a quality shoe. I have to say they now fit about as perfectly as I could wish for, very confidence-inspiring. Some have noted critically that there are no wide sizes – I understand. If you are accustomed to buying wide sizes don’t be afraid to at least give these a try. These are obviously well-made, with top quality materials. They don’t look bad at all, certainly by Anchorage dress code standards. They are truly waterproof right up to the top – I’ve waded through 2” deep water with no leaks. They are warm, but not stifling. In the past I have shied away from waterproof and insulated shoes because they often get too hot and don’t allow for wicking of “moisture”. But in these my feet are consistently comfortable and dry – and even in our moderate summer temperatures they were not a problem. The soles – grip on ice, snow, and wet surfaces was at the top of my list of requirements. These things are flat amazing. We have had a variety of weather this winter, no deep snow but everything else. I can say the grip from these shoes on loose snow, packed snow, ice and wet ice is the best I have ever encountered. The feeling of confidence and safety I get from these shoes is more than worth the price. If you live in a part of the world where it’s often cold, wet, and/or frozen, you must try these shoes.
