I have been running in the Merrell Bare Access shoe for the past six months, and that shoe turned me into a runner. In the last two months I have stepped up my speed and distance, training for a 50k trail race. I started having problems with my left metatarsal, I believe, from downhill rocky terrain, and minimal protection in those shoes. Once the foot pain started, I wondered "Why doesn't Merrell make this same shoe with more padding, so I can go all out on these trails?". And all of sudden they did! My prayers were answered, and I ordered the All Out Rush overnight. This shoe does exactly what the name suggests--a minimalist shoe for going all out on rough terrain. Game one! Can't wait to try on the All Out Fuse as well!
