I had a pair of waterproof Merrell shoes that were really comfortable but they didn't stay dry walking through even dew covered grass. This fall it has been two weeks of rain and my shoes were soaked. I would change socks 3 times a day to at least keep my feet as dry as possible. I called Merrell to find out if I needed to waterproof them again. They said that they should be staying dry and I shouldn't need to waterproof them. They asked for pictures, told me to send them in for a replacement pair. I got this Azura Waterproof shoe yesterday. The 6.5 (the size I normally wear) were a little snug but they were very comfortable. They are really pretty too. I am looking forward to giving them a try this weekend through our hills and creeks on the farm. I was very impressed by the customer service. The shoes are the only kind I purchase in tennis shoes and hiking boots. I wouldn't have traded the hiking boots I had for a million dollars. I wore them until they were falling apart and got another pair of Merrell boots last year. I would recommend Merrell's to anyone because not only are they a good shoe/boot, they have suburb customer service.
