Merrell: Please return to the same design as the Chameleon Waterproof 2. That was the perfect low hiker and there was no need to change it! The new version is far inferior in many ways - one of which is the toe molding, two is the tread pattern/ style, and three is the ugly colors. Will you take special orders? I would like a "new" Chamelelon 2 Waterproof/Goretex low hiker in olive drab and earth brown color. Thanks! Merrell customer-for-life

I was VERY dissapointed when I recieved these shoes. My Chameleon 2 GTX's fit like a glove right out of the box, these Chameleon 5 waterproof feel lumpy and uncomfortable. They also look like a cheap knock-off, the rand is much lighter duty and I don't think that they would last the 7-8 years that my Chameleon 2 GXT have. I will be returning these shoes and looking else where, this is a very poor advertisement for Merrell. I have extolled Merrell for the last 7 years, now I wouldn't give them a second look.
