I have an older pair of Chameleons (shoes) that I bought in 2006 (and still use). They have well over 400 miles on them and they've been everywhere - Mt. Whitney, Machu Pichu, on the Rachel Carson Trail, Leh (Eastern Himalayas) - and are comfortable as hell. However, they're not waterproof so I bought this pair of Chameleon boots last December before setting off to climb Kilimanjaro. They could not have served me better. Not one blister and not once did my feet get wet (despite the fact that it rained all through the trek) over the eight days I was on the trail. I've put another 100 or so miles on them since getting back home and I'm hoping they continue to serve me as well as my older pair!
