I got these shoes after getting sore feet doing longer (5+ miles) hikes and/or on rocky trails in my Trail Glove 2s. I have only had the Mix Master Moves a couple weeks, but they are exactly what I was looking for. They still have a minimal and knee saving (for me anyway) feel of a bare-foot shoe but offer more cushioning and stability in the sole that comes in handy on rocky trails or distances greater than 5 miles. The fit is like a cross between The Trail Glove 2s and a more traditional running shoe, as you would expect. I had been searching for a month or more to find the minimal yet supportive shoe for these middle distance and rocky adventures and these have fit the bill perfectly. I am totally a convert to Merrell for adventure/hiking shoes, and will continue to use the different models for the different activities I enjoy! I have marked "size as expected" because these shoes fit just as other Merrells do, which is slightly bigger than some other brands. In Merrell I am usually a half size smaller than other brands, which is fine.
