Right out the box, these shoes hug your feet and cradle them in a safe environment that you can trust. Merrell has never let me down with the other 3 pairs I own (Chameleon Stretch, Perimeter Gore-Tex, & a discontinued slip on) and these haven't let me down and are just as expected. I lead trail hikes in Alaska through mud, snow, ice, gravel, rock, you name it and the Merrell name and quality always shines through. These fit perfectly right out of the box and are beautiful. It only took a day of walking around to get them perfectly comfortable and the flex point was good when I received them.
