Saw this coat in the Ink color with the contrast stitch and zipper- it is one of the best looking insulated coats out there! The contrast stitch , and particularly the red zipper really set it apart from the billion of insulated parkas that have been sold during the insulated parka craze of 2012-2013 (seriously, here in denver, you cant walk 20' without running into a man woman or child wearing a patagonia down coat -it's comical.) Have been searching high and low and cannot find the Ink version of this coat - if anyone has a large that they want to part with, please let me know! The other colors do not have enough contrast and look like all the others... Merrill -you need to make more of the ink version!

Thanks for sharing you input on this style. There are some online retailers that still have stock of the "Ink" color. Although it is brighter, the Apollo color is really sharp and has the same contrasting stitching.

Just curious why Merrell eliminated the color "ink" and the contrast stitching from this years Ridgeland Hoodie? Those are two of the things I like best about mine.

Thanks for the feedback. Although we no longer have the ink color, the contrast stitching is still here! This jacket has colorful contrast stitching in the blue and red colors that makes it really pop.

I saw this Jacket in Wired Magazine and it gave it great reviews for Airline travel. The jacket is warm as I've worn it with only a t-shirt underneath in 20 degree weather. The only thing that I have issues with is the zipper on the pockets. The get stuck easily with the interior liner. I've only had the jacket for a week and I am happy that I bought it from REI.com.
