I've found this to be a great all-purpose boot, providing good cushioning and support without the rigidity of a stiff shank. The flexibility of the boot is ideal for me in mixed terrain, as is the grip of the vibram soles. I mainly hike in the Sierra Nevada mountains, including off-trail ventures in rocky, sometimes steep areas, and so far these boots have performed flawlessly. I travel with a moderate weight on my back (40-45 lbs at the beginning of a trip) and moderate distance each day (10 to 15 miles), and with these boots, my feet are the least of my worries at the end of each day, which is awesome. As for the "waterproofness" of the shoe, I have no complaints at this time after a number of shallow water crossings and some days of light rain. Please maintain a boot of this class in your lineup going forward. When my pair wears out, I'm hoping to pick up something exactly like the Geomorph.
