Very comfortable shoe well worth the $150.00. I purchased my shoes in early November 2012 and wear them almost everyday. They still look like they just came right out of the box and clean up very easily. My only disappointment is Merrell has no replacement laces. I recently broke a lace and called Merrell who was of little help to me. I did some checking around and Danner has some brown and orange boot laces in a 63" (little long but they will work) that work very well with this particular hiking boot. They actully look better than the original laces and are much stronger. I found my laces at Gander Mountain but you can probably find them online or at any place that sales Danner Boots.

Thanks for the great feedback. We are happy the boots are holding up well and proving to be very durable. Thanks for the hints on laces too. We hope to offer more laces in the future.

Just purchased the Geo morph style, and wore them for the first time yesterday for an hour or so in and out of my car and the cold/wet weather of Michigan. When I got home and took the new boots off, I said, "Oh no, my feet are damp." I was wearing a white, mostly cotton sock (like everyone wears) and I am concerned about the issue of my feet sweating in these boots... Don't want to go to far with this yet, but, if they make my feet/socks wet, I think I will have an issue with that.........

Thanks for the review of this style. This style has 200 grams on insulation to keep your feet warm. We recommend wearing a wool blend sock to keep your feet the ideal temperature and help wick moisture away. Check out our socks like the Courant Solid or Gumjuwac that are perfect for wicking moisture away from the skin.

This is my second pair of Merrill water proof boots, first pair lasted four years, I'am retired now but I worked construction for years and have never worn a more comfortable pair of boots. I still hunt, fish and and do chores outside. I'am looking forward to another four plus years of comfort and durability, keep it up Merrill.!!!!!

We appreciate your review. Great to hear your last pair lasted you 4 years! Thank you for giving this boot a five star rating on comfort and durability.

The 200g synthetic insulation is well worth the upgrade to the "Thermo" version. An overall good hiking boot. My only complaint is my laces have already frayed and broke. The metal hook and loop system sliced into the laces. In the future, a stronger, thinker lace would be appreciated. Contacted customer service on how to obtain replacement laces and I was directed to purchase laces at 3rd party sites. These sites did not have replacement laces and now I’m unable to wear the boots until something sufficient can be found. #V489NC1F9WCG9

It's a good boot, good appearance and keep your feet warm. But it's not breathable and because of this your feet are getting wet. That's the biggest problem of this boot.

Merrell's Reply:

We are sorry you are having an issue with the water leaking. This model does have insulation that will keep your feet warmer but should definitely not be leaking. We will be in touch with you soon.
