this was the shoe i decided i was going to wear for the week in Switzerland. not the stiffer non-barefoot heavier hikers or heavier proterras. these did well for the groomed and/or paved trails throughout the country and 14 hour days walking. i travel light including the shoes and barefoot did the job.

I've worn Merrell hiking shoes and boots for years - great comfort & value. I'm 56 y/o and have very tight Achilles' tendons. I bought the 0 mm drop Barefoot Train Flux Gloves for daily wear to gently stretch my tendons. The shoes fit like a glove - very comfortable. I'll be buying a second - washable pair - for doing calisthenics/boot camp style workouts at the gym.

Out of the box and ran a 37 miler "fatass" makes the barefoot train flux fantastic to me. I enjoy them so much I can't keep them of my feet. Very comfortable in various weather conditions too, a lot of fun in streams, trails and snow. I think I need another pair...love them! JD

I purchased these because I wanted to start switching over to barefoot type shoes. They are comfortable, sturdy and look great. They grip the rocks and saved me from slipping several times on the trail. This pair has a slight factory defect in the left heal which I hope customer service will take care of. Seems like Merrell has had great reviews on their customer service so I don't have any worries. Would recomend these for everything but heavy hiking, they are very sturdy without binding. Very happy.

We are pleased to see you have enjoyed this style and it has provided a sturdy feel despite being a “barefoot” shoe. We will be in contact with you soon to discuss the issue you have discovered.

  • Most comfortable shoes ever owned...

The title pretty much sums it up. These are hands down the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned. Not just the most comfortable from Merrell, but the most comfortable period. These are my third pair of fourth pair of Merrell's, the other's being a hiking shoe and two pair of trail gloves (in different colors). They all have their advantages for what their intended purpose is, but for around town shoes, these are the best. They seem to have the perfect amount of padding, while still being a barefoot shoe. Once you get the correct sizing, they fit like second skin. What more can I say? They rock!
