They are well built and high quality. I would like to see a closed toe sandal with the same foot bed as the Moab ventilator/wide width. The same thickness of sole and the Ortholite® anatomical foot bed. This foot bed is extremely comfortable and the heel cushioning is superb. The support and cushioning of the foot bed I speak of has really helped my painful metatarsal area when I walk fast for about a block or so. I found these sandals to not be nearly as good as the foot bed that I would like used on them. But, I feel this is an excellent built sandal and for the majority of people, it should be a great set of foot wear.

I bought a pair of what was probably the predecessor model to these sandals. I am a huge Merrell fan but these sandals have room for improvement: 1. The velcro closure on these sandals must be opened and closed each time one takes them on and off. Like all velcro, the lifetime is short and the sandals too-quickly do not stay closed. A non-velcro closure would be a huge improvement. 2. Merrells fit my size-14 foot better than any other last. I'd love to see Merrell move to orthotic footbeds, especially in a sandal of this style..
