Love the fit, cut and vibrant colors of the scarlet plaid. The tails are not excessive and look good untucked. The material is a good mix of light and sturdy. The only thing I don't like is the Merrill tag on the front pocket. Some may like this as a brand status type of thing but I never went for the walking advertisement concept. The tag is easily removed with scissors for those that prefer the generic look.

Just bought one of these shirts at a local Track n' Trail. I foolishly cut the tags off before I even tried it on, and it was the oddest fitting shirt. Much larger than I expected, especially in the torso. The extra material sort of pooches out in the front. Too bad, because on the shelf it was a great looking shirt, but on me, it's less than flattering. Worth a try, probably, but keep your receipt and leave the tags on.

A friend of mine had one and it fit me perfectly so I ordered 3 off the website. Almost immediately the buttons started to fall off one of the shirts and its only a matter of time on the other 2. They are just sewn on very loosely and the thread is coming out. One one of the front of the shirts it is starting to fray because it wasn't sewn correctly. I tried to capture all of this in one pic since that's all the site will let me upload. I ordered all three shirts in size large and all three fit differently. One fits great and the other 2 the sleeves too long or too big around the waist. It's a shame because I wear these for work and casual and people always ask me who makes them. I tell them but show them the flaws too.... Fix the QC Merrell and I will buy some more.....no way until then
