All I can say is wow these are great very comfortable. I had the original chameleons and I find these much better. Better support , I have had them for about 2 weeks now and love them keep up the good work merrell.

When is Merrell going to take the advice of it's customers and stick with a design that worked? Chameleon Stretch IIs were the best. Chameleon Stretch 3 and 4 are poorly designed.

I put about 600 miles of mountain hiking and jogging on a pair of these last year. The bottoms are now nearly smooth and the stiffness in the arch is gone, but I wear them anyway because they are so comfortable/responsive - I'm on line now to buy another pair.

An excellent shoe so far on short hikes. We'll have to see how they hold up during a couple weeks on the Appalachian trail. Hopefully I still feel the same as I do now about them after the hike. That's when I can deliver a true review.

I just bought my 4th pair of Chameleon 4's. I have never had a problem with them. They are perfect for work. I am a contractor working in the middle east. These shoes are perfect for the desert terrain. They keep my feet dry and I never loose my footing. I am on my feet all day. These shoes give me constant comfort and support all day. I have been buying new merrills about every 6 months. I find that to be the life limit of the chameleon 4's. I imagine these shoes would last longer if used for their intended purpose (ie: hiking), I put my shoes through some serious punishment. Over all perfect shoe for me.
