I absolutely LOVE my Moab Ventilator Waterproof hiking boots. This is my 4th pair of these boots, as I've worn out the others over the years. The fit is spot on and they're as comfortable and lightweight as wearing slippers. I keep the older beat up boots for working in the yard and gardening and my new pair is used for hiking and walking. I'm just as happy with the many pair of Encore Nova Crystal slip-ons and shearling replaceable footbeds that I've purchased over the years. These slip-ons work great as slippers in the cold Vermont winters. Thanks a bunch! Nancy in Vermont :o)

Wonderful hiking boots. Did not have to break them in and they were so comfortable, even on a rocky hillside.

This was a 2nd pair of Merrels hiking boots. I have to say, they are the most comfortable shoe I own. I live in Florida so I don't get to wear them here in the summer much, unless it rains. My first pair isn't water proof and they don't seem to be as comfortable as this pair. When purchasing these online keep in mind they do run small compared to a sneaker size. I normally wear size 8 with a sock so I had to order a size 9 in the Merrels. Learned this from the first pair I ordered. But overall they are an amazing boot... light, comfortable and made to last.. love them!!!

I bought these at REI. I took a lot of time for the fitting because I wanted to wear them for a very long hike next month and I knew the boots would make or break the whole trip. They fit great and felt great. However, my first trip out for just a few miles was pure torture. My toes were numb by mile 2 and it only got worse from there. When I was home and just standing or doing regular walking they felt great. Fast forward to a whole lot of reading about different pulse points ion the foot. Apparently the traditional lacing method was hitting the top of my foot at exactly the wrong spot for good circulation. I found alternate lacing methods on YouTube and tried again. After new lacing technique I walked 9 miles with ease and comfort. I will need to figure out how to get the right socks in place to avoid the pressure zones, but at least I now know what is going on. These boots were very comfortable on less than smooth terrain.

Love these boots--more comfortable than my tennis shoes. Love the support and comfort they give to my feet. Have mainly worn them walking my dog in the neighborhood and some on rough/uneven terrain. They are very comfortable and I don't feel they needed to be broken in to be so. I normally wear an 8 in Merrell shoes however in these walking down steep grade my toes touch the toe end of the boot...a little more than I would have expected. Don't believe a bigger size would have been an option so I will just wear socks that have some extra toe protection. Love the Periwinkle/Gray color.
