Very comfortable shoe. I love the color and style.

I really don't have much else to say besides that I am very satisfied with these shoes. I work in a sporting goods store that sells quite a few Merrell shoes. Today, I had a ton of running back and fourth for customers as it was a busy day. My Rant's didn't let me down. At the end of the day, these shoes performed well, especially considering the amount of literal running I was doing for 10 hours. I recommend these shoes to someone who doesn't want a hiking-style shoe but still wants the comfort similar to that of the MOAB's, as I found (for me at least) that they had a similar feel.

If I had to design my perfect sneaker, it would be pretty darn close to the Rant in Bracken color. First off, the shoe looks great. It's as though a bowling shoe, approach shoe and sneaker had a baby. The stitch color is nicely matched to the leather and laces. The bracken colored canvas doesn't shoe dirt at all. The rubber toe cover is just enough to add a bit of protection and color without overpowering the front of the shoe. These shoes (at least my pair) are bomb proof. I wear them every day and the soles have held up extraordinarily well. They provide comfortable support for walking for such a low profile sole. The canvas around the eyelets hasn't frayed at all and the stitching shoes only slight wear. The shoe is true to size and the only problem with the actual shoe is that the tongue tends to curl inward, which can be a little annoying. The biggest drawback of the shoe is availability. The Bracken color which, without doubt, is the best color isn't available anywhere but eBay for over $100! The next biggest drawback is that the Rant Mid, Rant Brash, Rant Whip and Embark Epic Chuka are not available in the US. What the heck, Merrell? You make these awesome shoes and then deny us??!! Conclusion: Awesome shoe! I want more!

I loved the look I bought a pair for myself in the brown (I have kinda big feet for a girl) and a second pair for my boyfriend in the black/grey. They are a perfect unisex sneaker. Super comfortable and stylish. He wears them all the time and loves them. I haven't had any issues with the tongue sliding around but maybe that's because I like to tie them tight around the arch. My boyfriend's laces did rip within a month though. The lace fabric must not be such great quality. That could be improved for sure, or at least include a replacement pair in the box. The final thing that sold me on these is that my boyfriend's two very hip teenage daughters not only approved of his new shoes, but really liked them. That's the final test of stylishness.

I have also had both laces break on these shoes :( Other than that, I love them which is why I am trying to find replacement laces. Is it possible to order these somewhere?
