I bought a pair of Merrells and found them too narrow and too stiff. Gander Mountain wouldn't exchange them since I had worn them, but called Merrell and they were very accomodating. Swapped me for a different shoe and a wide width size which fits perfectly...no questions asked. Now that's what I call good customer service on top of a quality product. I'll be back when I need another pair.

Let me start by saying; please Merrell, don't discontinue this wide width all black shoe. I have worn these for 10 months and just ordered my second pair. Getting almost a year out of work shoes is very good. Probably walk 5-6 miles a day mostly on driveways and sidewalks and in and out of a delivery truck. These soles give much more support over rocks and hard edges but are still lightweight. Regular sneakers would only last about 3 months. My feet stay cool in the AZ summer. A good choice if you have to wear all black footwear for work. I ordered the other color for around the house. Any chance that we will see more color choices in a wide width?

These shoes are my favorites of all time. The wide sole fits my feet and these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever had. I had purchased over 5 pairs in the brown color version until my wife got so feed up with it that she insisted that I purchase a black version. So now I always have a black pair and brown pair.

I am a Geocaching nut and I spend a good bit of time in the woods on, and off of, hiking trails! First off, let me say that these shoes are the most comfortable hiking shoes that I have ever worn. They are lightweight and fit perfect. As far as the outsole goes, I have climbed over rock. walked through mud and even tread over wet, mossy areas without any slippage! These things grab the ground and hang on when you need it most! I wish that I had opted for a waterproof version but that is no fault of the shoe. I went Geocaching a couple of days ago and ended up with soaked feet, however, I must say that these drained quickly and my feet actually dried within an hour so that speaks volumes about the breathability! I would definitely buy these again! Great job Merrell!
