This shoe is so close to barefoot running This is my first pair of barefoot running shoes, very light and a snug fit, I went for a size 9 as this is my normal shoe size and they fit perfectly, my toes have enough room to move and the width is spot on. I recommend these for road and off road running, but for heavy or rocky trails I would go for something with a little more cushioning. The only problem with them now is I don't know what pair to wear as I have bought all three colours....I love em......

Preferred the VG2 Plus and minus for the thicker sole. I could imagine using this on trails that might be too much for me in the VG2 but it reduces feel and flexibility. It doesn't feel as well made as the VG2. It also annoyingly sizes small. The same size as I've loved wearing for the VG2 results in my toes scraping the end which I think is in part due to the increased curl at the toes. By curl I mean the rubber toe protection reduces the internal space and the toe nail catches the end at the inner. I like the new lacing system. I don't like that the arch support touches noticeably unlike the VG2 but like the Trail Glove. In fact this shoe is closer to the TG than the VG2 in my opinion and though I like the Trail Glove I've never found its sizing suitable for my feet to actually run in - so I wear those as a casual shoe not for actual running. In short I'd summarise that if it fits you it will probably be a great shoe but I much prefer the VG2 which fitted me well. These don't.
