I'm on my third pair of Merrells walking boots. Also a big fan of their walking shoes. Fantastically comfortable but also strong and robust over pretty rough terrain. Good value too. Thoroughly recommend

Not sure if these are a replacement for the Chameleon Evo Mid's bought just over a year ago, but if they are - beware! Mine were a present from my kids prior to a summer trek in the pyrenees. They were great for two short weekend acclimatization trips then come the main point of the things they lasted exactly 4 weeks before falling apart - almost literally! Yes, it's rough terrain - but I'd expect mountain boots at around £100 to do better than that. Not just annoying, but not pleasant to find yourself in the middle of isolated wild country with a boot slowly separating into two discreet parts.
