I stumbled upon the Merrell Barefoot exasperated trying to find somewhere that stocked the Inov-* shoes I wanted to try. With free shipping and returns I ordered two different styles (these and the Trail Glove). The Flux Glove Sport were originally intended for the gym - CrossFit syle training. They are comfy, very light, perfectly flat and have a nice wide toe box. The soles are really well shaped and much cleverer than a simple minimalist sole. In the end, these shoes became my everyday shoes, as they are just so comfy. The trail glove shoes I bought became my gym shoes, as they are great for a few hours but the rugedised toe protection doesn't agree with my long toe. All in all I think the Flux Glove Sport is brilliant if you want the following: Wide toe box Lightweight and minimalist Zero drop I would say they are very suited to the gym, road running and everyday wear.
