Very comfortable sandal apart from one thing - after wearing for a couple of hours the inner flap to which the arch shank is attached to starts to rub as it is too long. Unfortunately wearing in around the house did not highlight this and it was not until I needed them in the heat of America that it was obvious that plasters where going to be a necessity when wearing unless they were altered. I subsequently cut down this flap to nearer to the loop closure and have found that this has resolved the issue and that they are now a delight to wear, very comfortable, hard wearing and easy to wash down. Only time will tell whether my alteration will reduce the lifespan of these sandals. For the price paid I am disappointed that Merrell quality control had not highlighted this issue when testing. They would have got a much lower rating had I not been able to resolve the issue myself!
